VIVA TRAVEL SOCCER CLUB FEES & POLICIES

Program Philosophy

Villarreal Virginia Academy (VIVA) is dedicated to providing consistent, comprehensive, and high-quality player development. Our professional staff and developmental programs operate at the highest standards to ensure long-term growth and positive outcomes for every player.

The Travel Soccer Program is funded entirely through player fees, which allow VIVA to maintain professional coaching, league participation, administrative support, and field operations year-round.

Travel Soccer Season Structure

  • Season Duration: August through June (annual)

  • Program Type: Year-round program

  • Winter Indoor League: Not included

  • Winter Outdoor Training: January–February (weather permitting)

VIVA makes a long-term commitment to its coaching staff and players. We expect families to make the same commitment upon acceptance. Additional team-related costs may vary based on tournaments, travel, and equipment.

Fee Payment Schedule

  • Fees may be paid in up to 9 installments beginning February 1

  • After March 30, fees may be paid in up to 7 installments

  • Installment eligibility begins upon player acceptance

U-9:   Aug 1, 2017 - Jul 31, 2019   (7v7)
U-10: Aug 1, 2016 – Jul 31, 2017   (7v7)
U-11: Aug 1, 2015 – Jul 31, 2016   (9v9)
U-12: Aug 1, 2014 – Jul 31, 2015   (9v9)
U-13: Aug 1, 2013 – Jul 31, 2014   (11v11)
U-14: Aug 1, 2012 – Jul 31, 2013   (11v11)
U-15: Aug 1, 2011 – Jul 31, 2012   (11v11)

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN VIVA TRAVEL FEES

Coaching & Administration:

  • Professional coaching compensation (excluding tournament travel beyond 50 miles)

  • Travel Soccer administrative costs (registration systems, supplies, storage, IT, marketing, club events)

 

League & Player Registration:

  • VPSL (ECNL-RL) and NCSL league fees

  • US Club Soccer & NCSL player cards

  • Villarreal Virginia Academy Membership Fee

 

Facilities & Fields:

  • Fairfax County field usage fees (Spring & Fall seasons)

  • Field maintenance and rental costs: Mason District Park, Ossian Hall City Park, Pine Ridge, Bailey’s ES, Thomas Jefferson HS, Justice HS

  • Additional county fees may apply to non-Fairfax residents

 

Equipment:

  • Training equipment: goals, pinnies, goals, corner flags, small-sided goals

 

Referees:

  • Referee fees for VPSL, ECNL, and NCSL matches

  • EDP referee fees are paid by individual teams

 

Competition & Training:

  • Fall & Spring Soccer League

  • Winter outdoor training (weather permitting)

  • Weekend scrimmages and matches year-round

  • Player workload managed by Technical Director (including rest periods, HS season adjustments)

NOT INCLUDED IN CLUB FEES

These items are paid separately and vary by team

  • Tournament entry fees and travel expenses

  • Coaches’ travel and accommodations

  • US Club State Cup fees

  • Uniforms and gear (ordered through Springfield Soccer Supplies)

  • Winter & Summer permits

  • Optional gear purchases

  • Winter Indoor League

  • Clinics and camps

  • College coaching clinics (when available; not guaranteed)

SIBLING DISCOUNT PROGRAM

  • 20% discount for families with two or more players

  • Applied to the lower-priced player fee

  • Discount applied to final payments

OPTIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMS

VIVA offers optional summer and winter training programs, including:

  • Skill development with Futsal Sessions

  • Specialty clinics

  • International trips to Villarreal CF (Spain)

These programs are à la carte and require separate registration and fees.

REFUND POLICY

  • NO refunds after accepting a roster position

  • Acceptance is a full seasonal commitment

  • Player passes will not be released until all fees are fully paid

 

VYSA & US CLUB SOCCER NON-PAYMENT POLICY

  • Players must be financially current to transfer during a seasonal year

  • Transfers will be held until obligations are fulfilled

  • Clubs must notify VYSA within 3 business days to block a transfer

  • Transfers released within 2 business days after payment

  • Bad-faith holds may result in sanctions
